Some of you may noticed that I finally got a new phone/music device.  I upgraded from the blackberry world into the apple iphone world.  I must say, I love the iphone.  My ipad touch was on it's last leg, so this phone is perfect for me to chat and store all my bodypump and zumba tunes in one. 

Anyway, since I've gotten it I've become addicted to downloading new apps.  And, I'm amazed at how many useful apps there are for health and wellness!  Here are a few I love:

- iMapMyRun - great app for runners, walkers, and bikers.  If you have this plz share your username so we can exchange running routes!

- Fooducate - you can actually take a picture or scan bar codes on food labels and it gives the food a grade!  I love it and I'm the crazy person running around the grocery store scanning products.  It's a great app and makes food shopping a little more fun.  Plus I feel like I really buy healthier stuff!  yippie.

- Pandora - may seem strange to list this as health/wellness....but it's perfect for working out.  You can make your own radio station and it's great to use w/ headphones while walking, running, whatever.  I love it!

So...tell me your thoughts on last night's special Valentine's Day Zumba class?!?!?  Did you like it?  Did you still get a good workout?  Did you like my prizes?

My goal for yesterday's class was to maintain a good fitness level for all of you while helping everyone get a few laughs in.  Sometimes around Valentine's Day we focus on the negatives such as....I didn't get what I wanted, I don't have a significant other, I didn't get flowers (overpriced!), blah blah blah! 

My goal this Valentine's Day was to do something healthy for MY heart!  I accomplished that goal and I hope you did too!!!!

I dislike Hallmark Holidays if you can't tell!  I made a request to NOT get overpriced flowers that will die in a few days!  Give me something really useful like a few hours with my family and BF...that to me is way better than stinky flowers :)
 
Have you seen the Flyer for Tuesday's class?!?!?  Get ready because it's going to be FUN!  Angelique and I will be keeping the energy up the whole class!  Come prepared to dance, sweat, and maybe walk away with a cool Zumba prize!!!!

12 - everyone in ur family/house should be eating healthy, even your kids!
20 - it's ok to have that cake...but have 1 small piece & move on
22 - if u knew the cals & fat in some rest. food u would die! Plus typically the higher fat/cal content is cheaper for the rest. to make...they are screwing us all!
25 - we reward our kids, why not ourselves?
